1969: Η μόδα του Woodstock

Από τις 15 έως τις 18 Αυγούστου 1969 το Woodstock Music & Art Fair, που έλαβε μέρος στην Νέα Υόρκη, προσέλκυσε περισσότερους από 400.000 επισκέπτες, οι περισσότεροι εκ των οποίων ανήκαν στο κίνημα των χίπις. Πολλά μουσικά συγκροτήματα δεν κατάφεραν να φθάσουν στο χώρο του φεστιβάλ, παραμένοντας στο αεροδρόμιο, λόγω του τεράστιου αριθμού των θεατών.

Με τη λήξη του φεστιβάλ, σχηματίστηκε το μεγαλύτερο μποτιλιάρισμα που είχε ποτέ συμβεί στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Αμερικής.
